WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Whitman Mission National Historic Site will begin its summer hours on May 29th, 2022, and end in the fall. Under these summer hours, the Visitor Center will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. seven days a week. The park’s picnic area, trails, and grounds continue to be open daily sunrise to sunset.
In addition to expanding services to seven days a week, park rangers will offer a variety of formal interpretive programs at the park throughout the summer. Formal ranger programs begin Memorial Day weekend and will be offered on select days at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. For more information on summer programming, visit the events calendar on our website: https://www.nps.gov/whmi/planyourvisit/calendar.htm.
