WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Whitman Mission National Historic Site (NHS) and Manhattan Project National Historical Park (NHP) will host a special event at Whitman Mission NHS on Saturday, June 17 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Rangers from both parks will celebrate people and stories often excluded from regional history.Fifteen-minute ranger talks will start at the Whitman Mission visitor center every half an hour. Talk topics will alternate between Whitman Mission NHS and Manhattan Project NHP. Activities also include a family-friendly, untold stories-themed scavenger hunt.
