WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Whitman Mission National Historic Site Visitor Center will close temporarily for staff training. The Visitor Center will close at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28^th, and will remain closed through Friday, September 29^th. The Visitor Center will resume normal operations on Saturday, September 30^th at 9:00 a.m.  

The park’s picnic area, restrooms, trails, and grounds continue to be open every day, sunrise to sunset. The park’s 25-minute film can be accessed online at https://go.nps.gov/whmi/film.  

Whitman Mission National Historic Site is located 8 miles west of Walla Walla, WA, on Whitman Mission Road. Park admission is free. For more information, please contact Whitman Mission National Historic Site at 509-522-6360, or visit www.nps.gov/whmi.
