WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Whitman Mission National Historic Site will begin its winter hours on November 7th, 2021. Under these winter hours, the Visitor Center will be open from 9a.m. to 4p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The Visitor Center will be closed on Sunday and Monday. The park’s picnic area, trails, and grounds continue to be open daily sunrise to sunset.

A safe and enjoyable park experience begins at home. The NPS encourages visitors to plan their visit by checking the park’s website and social media for current conditions and travel tips. The CDC has offered guidance to help people recreating in parks and open spaces prevent the spread of infectious diseases: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/visitors.html. We ask the public to be our partner in recreating responsibly, by following CDC and state and local guidance, social distancing, and wearing a face covering when inside.

We encourage visitors to watch the 25-minute park film on our website before visiting at https://go.nps.gov/whmi/film
