Washita's 25th Anniversary

On November 13, 2021, Washita Battlefield National Historic Site commemorated the 25th Anniversary of the creation of the park through the signing of the Public Law 104–333, the Omnibus Parks and Public Lands Management Act of 1996, establishing Washita Battlefield to preserve and protect the history and nature of the site for current and future generations.

To mark the occasion and explore the park's past and where it might go in the future there were speakers, Cheyenne and Arapaho dancers, and a Cheyenne and Arapaho drum circle. View the events of the day in the series of videos below.
