Junior Ranger Day on Saturday April 20, 2013
Calling all kids! The 2013 Junior Ranger Day celebration at the Washita Battlefield National Historic Site will be a come and go event held on Saturday April 20 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm.
Cheyenne native, Minoma Littlehawk Sills, Park Ranger from Roman Nose State Park, will share the story of the Hairy Toe as well as Tales from Coyote. The Washita National Wildlife Refuge will once again have available their very popular Wii hunting game for all to try.
Park Ranger Teresa Ezersky will be at the Native Garden demonstrating how to transform a simple Yucca leaf into rope. Weather permitting the park tipi will be raised. Those who participate in the programs and activities will have an opportunity to get their Junior Ranger Badge and certificate.
The event is open to all age groups and family members. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
