Multiple monument located on Union Avenue 300 feet south of Tour Stop 5. Also, markers designating the assault of 19 May 1863, located 150 feet east of Confederate Avenue near the Missouri Memorial, the assault of 22 May 1863, located at Stockade Redan (Tour Stop 10), 100 feet off the east side of Confederate Avenue, and sharpshooters' line on Confederate Avenue, 300 feet behind the Missouri State Memorial.
This unit was attached to Col. Giles A. Smith's 1st Brigade, of Maj. Gen. Francis P. Blair's 2d Division, Maj. Genl's William T. Sherman's and Frederick Steel's XV Army Corps, and commanded by Lt. Col. Ira Boutell and Col. James H. Blood.
