May 12, 2019 - October 26, 2019 the mansion is open everyday by guided tour only. Tours are offered throughout the day at: 9:15, 10:00*, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00* , and 4:00 and 5:00. (Tour times are subject to change) *Group tours of 10 or more people must make reservations in advance which are offered at 10:00 am, 1:30 pm or 3:00 pm only. On days when no group tour is scheduled these tour times will be available to the public (except 1:30).

Entrance to the mansion is available by guided tour seven days a week. Public tours are offered at 12:00 and 4:00 pm. Should unexpected high visitation occur, guided tours will switch to self-guided tours.
Group tours of 10 or more people must make reservations in advance which are offered at 10:00 am or 2:00 pm only. On days when no group tour is scheduled these tour times (10 and 2) will be available to the public

Commercial groups will need an approved Commercial Use Permit in order to operate within the parks after October 1, 2019. For more information please visit the Commerical Use Authorization page.
Advance tour reservations for individuals (from 1-9 people) are not available. All tickets for individuals are sold on a first come first serve basis.

- Bard Rock Road and parking lot is closed to vehicular traffic on weekends, holidays, and whenever the gate is closed. Bard Rock is open to vehicles Monday-Thursday, May through October.
The Visitor Center closes at 5:00 PM.
The grounds are free and open daily until sunset. Entrance gates located at Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site, will be subject to closure 30 minutes prior to sunset. The grounds will continue to remain open to pedestrians until sunset.
