Freedom Of Information Act

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) gives you the right to access any Tuzigoot National Mounment, National Park Service, or Department of the Interior (DOI) records unless the information in those records is protected by one or more of the nine exemptions (reasons an agency may withhold records from a requester) and there is a sound legal basis to withhold them.

If you are seeking general information about Tuzigoot National Monument please explore other pages of this website or contact the park. The information you are seeking may already be available via the Internet, or at the park Visitor Center. If you're not sure where to find the information you're looking for, please contact the park directly.

If information is not publicly available, you will need to submit a written FOIA request to the park. There is no official request form, just send us a letter describing the records you desire. Address your request to:

Superintendent
Tuzigoot National Monument
PO Box 219
Camp Verde, AZ 86322

If you are seeking information about the National Park Service or Department of Interior, you may also submit FOIA requests to the NPS FOIA office or the DOI FOIA office. If you have questions on what information is available without submitting a FOIA request or where the information may be located, please contact the park, the agency, or the department, as appropriate. Our responsibility is to provide you with copies of the documents you are entitled to receive under the law, and we want to work with you to achieve that goal.
