The Many Missions, Many Nations workshop is a FREE professional development course developed in partnership between the National Park Service and the Southwestern Mission Research Center. It combines learning, travel, and networking with peers to create enhanced opportunities for studies in the classroom.

Workshop runs: February 20-23, 2020

Participant requirements:

  • Be a current K-12 teacher in Arizona, Sonora, or tribal school
  • Have a valid passport or tribal ID card
  • Speak and understand English
  • Attend entire workshop (Thursday evening through Sunday)

Participant benefits:

  • FREE. All inclusive (lodging, food, transportation) travel from Tucson
  • Multiple days of content delivered by subject matter experts in history, culture, and geography

  • 20 hours continuing education credit

Important Dates

November 15: Applications due
November 30: Acceptance packets and waitlist released
December 20: Waiver and placeholder due
January 20: Last day to cancel
February 20, 6:00 p.m.: Workshop begins in Tucson!
February 21-23: Tour proceeds through Arizona and Sonora.
