George Washington Carver Museum

Open Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Visitors can explore interactive exhibits that highlight the scientific achievements and legacy of George Washington Carver. Displays feature his work with peanuts and sweet potatoes, his contributions to sustainable agriculture, and his impact on education and innovation. A short interpretive film shares Carver’s inspiring journey, told through the voices of historians and those influenced by his legacy. 


The Oaks, Home of Booker T. Washington 

Open Tuesday through Thursday.
Guided tours are offered at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.

The Oaks, Home of Booker T. Washington step inside the beautifully home of Booker T. Washington, first principal of Tuskegee Institute and a prominent African American educator and leader. The historic residence is furnished to reflect the period in which Washington lived and offers a glimpse into his daily life. Guided tours provide insight into Washington’s personal and professional achievements, the legacy of Tuskegee Institute, and the broader story of African American advancement during the post-Reconstruction era.

The George Washington Carver Museum and The Oaks are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas day and New Year's Day.
