Skiing or snowshoeing around the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River is a magical experience, with sights of the canyon unlike anything else.

Skier shuttles are available from Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and the Old Faithful Snow Lodge on certain days of the week on a prearranged basis only. Tickets must be purchased in advance from Yellowstone Park Lodges.

Close to Canyon, this is a great trail for beginners to backcountry skiers alike.
