Tour the Thomas Stone House

A tour of the Thomas Stone House reveals more than a series of elegant chambers and a collection of beautiful objects. The house is a reflection of experiences of the people who shared Thomas Stone's life as a planter, a lawyer, and a politician. Learn about the unique influences behind his decision to sign the Declaration of Independence and how that decision impacted his community for generations.
Thursday—Friday
Tour Times:
- 10:30 am (Visitor Center is closed from 10:20 am to about 11:10 am.)
- 1:00 pm (Visitor Center is closed from 12:50 pm to about 1:40 pm.)
Saturday—Sunday
Tour Times:
- 10:30 am (Visitor Center is closed from 10:20 am to about 11:10 am.)
- 1:00 pm (Visitor Center is closed from 12:50 pm to about 1:40 pm.)
- 3:00 pm (Visitor Center is closed from 2:50 pm to about 3:40 pm.)
Tour Instructions:
- Visitors must request their tour participation at Visitor Center at least ten minutes before tour starts. If no requests are made for a tour time, that tour is cancelled.
- Except for those with accessibility needs, all tour participants must park at the Visitor Center and make the ten-minute walk to the Thomas Stone House.
- Tours start promptly at the accessibility ramp at the far end of the Thomas Stone House.
- Late arriving participants cannot join a tour in progress.
- The Visitor Center closes ten minutes prior a tour start time and reopens about ten minutes after the tour concludes.
