Start your visit to the battlefield at the park Visitor Center. You'll be welcomed by friendly park staff, find information and brochures, and pick up souvenirs.

Allow 15 - 45 minutes in the Visitor Center.

See the museum exhibits, visit the gift shop, and learn information from Rangers, Volunteers and Guides.

All ages are welcome but minors must be with an adult parent or guardian.

Service Animals are permitted.

The orientation and information is located at the main park entrance, 120 Fort Donelson Park Road, Dover, TN 37058.

Open year-round.

Normal hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, but vary in cases of weather-related closures or limited hours during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The building offers one accessible restrooms, exhibit areas, gift shop, and entrance/exit ramps.
