Take a Self-Guided Tour of Giant Logs

NPS Photo/Hallie Larsen
Take a self-guided tour of Giant Logs, one of the highest concentration of large, colorful petrified logs. The trail is shaped like a butterfly, the “head” is Old Faithful, the most massive log in the park. The trail has a hard surface, partially paved and graveled. There are posts with numbers that go along with the self-guiding tour booklet available at the Rainbow Forest Museum. The trail is 0.4 miles round trip, about 30 minutes long, rated easy.
