Listen to the Statue's Audio Tour
This self-guided tour helps visitors learn about the Statue of Liberty while exploring the grounds of Liberty Island. This is a great option for visitors of all ages as it lets them move around the island at their own pace. An audio tour is available for both Liberty Island and Ellis Island.
Only service animals are allowed on the island.
The audio tour is included with the purchase of every boat ticket.
Audio tours can be picked up at the kiosk located between the Refreshment building and the Information Center. The audio tour starts at the flagpole and guides visitors around the island. I can also be used within the museum.
Self-guided audio tours can be enjoyed year-round. The park is open every day except for the fourth Thursday of November (Thanksgiving) and December 25th.
Audio tours are available anytime, park hours depend on the time of year.
- The audio tour takes visitors around the island with is ground level with no elevation change.
- A descriptive audio tour is available for visitors who are blind or with low vision.
- Audio tours are available in the following languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Mandarin, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Korean, Portuguese and Japanese.
- Family friendly audio tours designed for children ages 6-10 are available in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Mandarin, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Korean, Portuguese and Japanese.
- American Sign Language (ASL) tours are also available.
