Hike Kebo Brook Trail to Kebo Mountain

This trail mixes quiet, forested areas with rocky sections to quickly reach a mountain summit. It ranges from a fairly level and packed trail to climbing up steps and exposed granite areas. Enjoy the sound of water while crossing over Kebo Brook. Partial views of Frenchman Bay can be seen from the summit of Kebo Mountain.

Terrain and Safety: The Kebo Brook Trail is fairly level and packed with some large rocks to walk on. It changes to steep, short rocky sections once on Kebo Mountain Trail until the summit. Good foot wear is recommended. Be cautious crossing the Park Loop Road after turning onto Kebo Mountain Trail.
Hike Description
- The trail begins at Kebo Brook Trailhead. Follow signs for Kebo Brook Trail and Cadillac North Ridge.
- The trail continues along forested area. Follow signs and continue straight at the junction with Cadillac North Ridge Trail.
- Follow blue blazes for another .5 miles. Follow signs straight at the junction with the Gorge Path. Walk on large, flat stones placed along the trail to cross Kebo Brook and other streams.
- Turn right at the junction of Kebo Brook Trail and Kebo Mountain Trail. Follow steps up and use caution as trail continues across Park Loop Road.
- Follow trail as it climbs a steep .3 miles to the summit of Kebo Mountain.
- Return down the same trail. Watch footing on steep, short rocky sections.

- Getting to the Trailhead
- By Island Explorer bus
- Use Routes 3 (Sand Beach) or 4 (Loop Road) and exit the bus at Cadillac North Ridge.
- By private vehicle
- After entering the Park Loop Road at the Cadillac Mountain Entrance, turn left towards Sand Beach. Stop at the first pulloff on the left, approximately .1 miles.
