Hanford: Become a Junior Ranger

The Hanford Junior Ranger program is a great way for kids to learn about the Manhattan Project.

Hey kids! Have you ever wanted to become a park ranger? With our Hanford Junior Ranger program, you can learn all about the Manhattan Project and get your official junior ranger badge, patch, and certificate while you’re at it!  

To become a junior ranger, visit the Hanford Visitor Center, or download the junior ranger booklet from our website, or stop by the REACH Museum (1943 Columbia Park Trail, Richland, WA  99353). By completing a series of fun activities, junior rangers can learn about the science, engineering, technology, and history specific to the Hanford site during the Manhattan Project. 

Once you complete the required number of activities, turn in the book at the visitor center to be sworn in as an official junior ranger. If you do not have time to complete the book while you are in town or you downloaded it from our website, you may mail your completed book to:
