Thing to Do
Enjoy Horseback Riding

NPS Photo/Hallie Larsen
Horse around! Bring your own horse and take a ride into the backcountry. While horses aren’t allowed on most of the trails, they can be ridden into the backcountry including the wilderness area. Be sure to clean up, use weed free feed, and bring all your water. A great place to start is the large parking lot at Kachina Point where you can find the access trail into the north unit of the wilderness area.
