Have you ever wanted a ranger badge of your own? Did you know that you can earn one at every national park you go to?
Stop by any visitor center at Theodore Roosevelt National Park and pick up a free junior ranger field journal to begin your national park adventure! Go to a ranger program, hike a trail in the park, clean up some litter, and complete a certain number of activities in your journal to earn your badge!
Pick up your field journal early in your visit so you have time to complete it! Completed journals can be turned in at ranger programs and visitor centers to receive your badge.

Junior Ranger Program
The Theodore Roosevelt National Park Junior Ranger Field Journal is an activity book for all ages. To earn a junior ranger badge, participants must complete a certain number of activities in the book, attend a ranger program, go on a hike, and try to find some litter to clean up. Once these activities are complete, junior ranger field journals can be brought to any visitor center to receive a badge!

Pets are welcome in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. However, they are only allowed in certain areas.
Leashed pets may be walked along roads and road shoulders, sidewalks, parking areas, and in campgrounds and picnic areas.

Junior Ranger Field Journals can be picked up at any of the visitor centers in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, as can badges once the journal is complete. Activities can be completed anywhere in the park!

Accessibility Information
All visitor centers are accessible, as are most programs. Accessible parking is available at most paved parking lots and pull-outs. There are three accessible trails available: Skyline Vista and Boicourt Trail in the South Unit, and Little Mo Nature Trail in the North Unit. Service animals are allowed, but must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.
