"Read with a Ranger - Why the Possum has a Large Grin" is a 45 minute program on-site at the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Eunice, Louisiana.  Students will listen to a park ranger read the book Why the Possum has a Large Grin. They'll learn about a Native American tale, and they'll make the story come to life through a craft.

Through this education program, students will discuss nature and culture.

What role do oral stories have in our communities? Why does a possum have a large grin? Kids will discuss this and more with this engaging language arts program.

To make a reservation, call (337) 457-8499 or email the park.
