"Coil Clay Pots in Louisiana" is a 45 minute program on-site at the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Eunice, Louisiana. Students will learn about indigenous cultures in Louisiana, and they'll make their own coil clay pots.
Through this education program, students will discuss how natural resources influence culture and traditions. They'll learn about the history of the Atchafalaya and the use of clay.
Students will engage in both history and visual arts through this education program and craft.
