USPP Officers Solve Multiple Cases with One Arrest

Carderock, Maryland – On Thursday, March 30, 2017 United States Park Police officers stopped a white Jeep in Carderock Park for a traffic violation. All three occupants of the vehicle were arrested for possession of heroin and the possession of drug paraphernalia. The front seat passenger also had a car opening device, also known as a “slim jim”. At the same time, it was discovered that a vehicle in the parking lot had been broken into and was missing several items. These items were recovered from inside the Jeep.

Charles Allen Fry, Jr., 20, of Lothian, Maryland, was additionally charged with theft from auto.

Further investigation linked Fry to five other theft from auto cases in National Park areas along the Potomac River including Great Falls, Maryland, Carderock Park, Widewater, and Lock 10.  Fry is also a person of interest in multiple theft from auto and fraud cases in Montgomery County, Maryland, Baltimore County, Maryland, and Fairfax County, Virginia. In addition, Fry was found to have multiple outstanding warrants from Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
