Services Division

The Services Division is responsible for providing administrative and other support functions to the Force. The Services Division is comprised of the Office of Budget and Financial Management, the Technical Services Branch, and the Training Branch.

Office of Budget and Financial Management

The Office of Budget and Financial Management is responsible for all fiscal activities of the Force including payroll, travel, imprest funds, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. It ensures proper cost accounting, performs routine audits of Force expenditures, prepares and analyzes variance reports, and generally performs all the activities associated with a full-service accounting operations unit. The Office of Budget and Finance is located at 1100 Ohio Dr., SW., Washington, DC.

Technical Services Branch

The Technical Services Branch provides the technical support necessary to implement Force operations and programs through the activities of the Communications Section, the Transportation and Equipment Section, the Contracting Office, the Information Management/Records Section and the Facilities Management Section. The Commander, Technical Services Branch, serves as a liaison with appropriate officials of the Department of the Interior and the National Park Service in connection with emergency communications systems within the Department.

The Communications Section provides and coordinates various forms of communication in support of line and staff functions. These include radios, telephones, pagers, and teletypes (both local and long distance systems). The Communications Section has a key role in the national emergency reporting systems of the Department of the Interior.

The Contracting Officer ensures that all procurement documents are prepared, tracked, and coordinated. The Information Management/Records Section is responsible for the classification and maintenance of all police reports. To request a police report, contact us.

Training Branch

The Training Branch consists of the Washington Metropolitan Area Training Section and the recruit and specialized training staff as well as Detailed Instructors at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) in Glynco, Georgia, the Recruit Training Group at FLETC, and the U.S. Park Police instructors detailed to FLETC. The primary function of the Training Branch is to provide and coordinate all training activities of the Force.
