Suitland Maryland - On Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at approximately 5:30 am, United States Park Police officers responded to westbound Suitland Parkway at Naylor Road for a report of a pedestrian struck. The decedent, 27-year-old Lamont Barnett from southeast Washington, was pronounced on scene by Prince George’s County Fire Department. The operator of the striking vehicle remained on scene to cooperate with the investigation.
The United States Park Police, Criminal Investigations Major Crime Unit, is seeking the public’s help. The accident remains under investigation by the U.S. Park Police Criminal Investigation Division and Traffic Safety Unit.
