Eleanor Roosevelt National Historic Site contains the home of Eleanor Roosevelt, former First Lady of the United States, activist, and influential leader of the twentieth century. The site is where Eleanor and Franklin entertained friends, the press, activists, and official state visitors. The park is located in Hyde Park, New York, near the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site and the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum. The park is located within the temperate deciduous forest biome, where broadleaf trees such as oak, maple, beech, and hickory are dominant.
