Natural Resource Condition Assessments for Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area

Straddling the northern Wyoming and southern Montana borders, Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area is comprised of 120,000 acres of wilderness, offering a vast and wild landscape for recreation enthusiasts. Stretching more than 70 miles in length, Bighorn Lake and the steep-sided canyons that surround it are at the center of the park. Visitors can hike one of the 15 trails in the area, as well as boat, fish, and camp within the breath-taking scenery.
