Torrey Pines State Reserve
Torrey Pines State Reserve contains a unique and undisturbed biological community supporting endangered bird species. Torrey pine forests occur naturally only here and on Santa Rosa Island, 175 miles to the northwest. High bluffs and sea cliffs found at this site are good examples of geological processes.
Year designated: 1977
Please remember, National Natural Landmarks (NNLs) are not national parks. NNLs are owned by a variety of public and private entities and allowing visitation is at their discretion. Many NNL sites maintain public websites where additional information may be found.
