Point Lobos State Reserve
Point Lobos State Reserve is an outstanding example of terrestrial and marine environments in close association. It is the only known habitat of Monterey cypress and variegated brodiaea, and is one of only two or three areas containing the Gowan's cypress and sea otter. The site is a sanctuary for thousands of sea and shorebirds.
Year designated: 1967
Please remember, National Natural Landmarks (NNLs) are not national parks. NNLs are owned by a variety of public and private entities and allowing visitation is at their discretion. Many NNL sites maintain public websites where additional information may be found.
