Mitchell Caverns and Winding Stair Cave
Mitchell Caverns and Winding Stair Cave, developed in the Bird Spring Formation of Permian age, are the most important solution caverns known in the Mojave Desert biophysiographic province. Several other caves are located within the landmark boundary.
