LaRue-Pine Hills Ecological Area
LaRue-Pine Hills Ecological Area, located within the Shawnee National Forest, contains one of the finest assemblages of diverse vegetation in the Midwest. The site represents species of northern, southern, eastern, and western affinities, including 40 species rare in Illinois.
