Garden Park Fossil Area is among the most important and diverse Late Jurassic age fossil sites in North America. It was one of the primary areas responsible for generating worldwide interest in dinosaurs during the late 1800s. Garden Park has produced the three most complete Stegosaurus skeletons ever found, the first known remains of Camarasaurus, Ceratosaurus, and Diplodocus and includes 23 type specimens. The landmark boundary was expanded in 2013.
