Congressional Friends of the National Park Service Centennial

The National Park Service has invited all members of the 114th Congress to help celebrate the NPS Centennial in 2016. Congressional Friends of the National Park Service Centennial are members of Congress who share in celebrating this milestone event.

The National Park Service Centennial Advisory Committee offers guidance and recommendations on NPS Centennial plans. Included are representatives of park friend’s groups, conservation and preservation groups, park concessioners, cooperating associations, educators, and others committed to the NPS mission.

A special arts grant initiative celebrates the 50th anniversary of the National Endowment for the Arts and the 2016 centennial of the National Park Service. Imagine Your Parks unites the mission of the two agencies to promote and protect the nation's natural and cultural treasures.

The National Park Service and the Tournament of Roses Association worked collaboratively on the 127th Rose Parade and its theme, "Find Your Adventure." The Rose Parade took place on January 1, 2016 in Pasadena, California, and was followed by the 102nd Rose Bowl Game.
