Filming and Photography at the Park
Most visitors to Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island will likely engage in filming or photography during their visit. While this is generally permitted, it is important to be respectful of others and avoid blocking, impeding, or disturbing fellow visitors.

- The Pedestal and Crown areas
- The Liberty Island Museum and Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration, including the surrounding steps
- Use only handheld equipment
- Monopods and handheld lighting are permitted
- Comply with all National Park Service, state and federal regulations, as well as the park's Superintendent’s Compendium
