22d Brigade, Col. Sanders D. Bruce, 20th Ky.
The advance of this division arrived on the field about
5 p.m., April 6, 1862. One regiment assisted in repelling the
last attack made by the Confederates on Sunday.
The division bivouacked, in line of battle, along the
north back of Dill Branch and early Monday morning, April 7,
1862, advanced, and at 9 a.m. became engaged north of the
Peach Orchard; its 10th Brigade holding the left of the Union
line. At 2 o'clock the division crossed the Peach Orchard
field, driving the enemy from that part of the line. It biv-
ouacked Monday night with its left in the camp of Stuart's
brigade.
The division had present for duty, officers and men, 4541.
Its lost 93 killed; 603 wounded; 20 missing; Total, 716.
