Nobody plays Irish mandolin like Marla Fibish. Marla is a San Francisco native and a mainstay of the local Irish music scene. Well-known in the SF Bay Area primarily for her mandolin playing, she is also a fine singer and button accordion player. Marla has appeared in many groups over the years – in the duo Double Treble, in the vocal group Out Of The Rain, in The Frontmen with Rory McNamara and Stevie Coyle, and for many years with Heart Of The Roll. Her musical abilities are now drawing admirers far and wide. A member of the Irish music trio Three Mile Stone, the band’s eponymous CD is receiving rave reviews in Ireland as well as in North America. “Some of the best mandolin playing in Irish music.” -Dennis Cahill “Marla’s amazing mandolin playing sets the bar for all others.” --Stuart Mason, Fiddlefreak Folk Music Blog.
Marla and Jimmy performed together earlier this year in the San Francisco Festival of the Mandolin, and are currently recording a CD, due to be released in 2011.
