Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau NHP Park Purpose

A donation to Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park helps us achieve our park purpose. The following are just a few examples of how your donation can help.

This popular, free annual event brings the community and visitors together in celebration and perpetuation of Hawaiian culture and traditions. Your donation could assist with the purchasing materials for the many interactive cultural demonstations.

Lā Pāʻani - During the Makahiki season, local schools come together to learn about Hawaiian culture and traditions as they compete in a series of traditional games. Your donation could help cover the costs of student transportation to the park or materials for the event.

  • Interpretive & Educational Brochures
Curious about the kiʻi? Want to know what plant that is? The park provides a wide variety of interpretive and educational brochures to share with visitors. Your donation can help cover printing costs of these types of materials.
