Wright Ride Along the Great Allegheny Passage

Marvel in the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright and bike one of the most scenic sections of the Great Allegheny Passage in Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands. Begin your visit with a tour of Wright’s world-renowned Fallingwater. For an unforgettable experience, consider a brunch or sunset tour. Be sure to make advanced reservations, wear comfortable shoes, and allow at least two hours. The next day, begin in Ohiopyle and bike 11 miles along the Great Allegheny Passage to the town of Confluence; this leisurely out-and-back ride, including a lunch stop, typically takes 5-6 hours.

Looking for more Frank Lloyd Wright architecture? Stay another day and visit Kentucky Knob, just a few miles from the town of Ohiopyle. You may also choose to visit Polymath Park Resort, where you can spend the night in the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Duncan House. It’s one of only six Wright homes in the U.S. that offers overnight accommodations and is about 25 miles from Ohiopyle.
