Get a healthy dose of nature - wherever you are! Join the National Park Service for a series of community hikes and bike rides this summer.
Saturday, August 7th we'll be hiking up Newton for views of town, the Nome River Valley and a panoramic view of the Bering Sea.
Meet at the Bering Land Bridge Visitor Center, then caravan to trailhead. Provide your own transportation.
Bring bear spray and/or a bug jacket, water, and an adventurous attitude.
Children below the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dogs are welcomed and must remain on a leash.
Mileage: 2 mi, 1099 ft elevation
