Join Park Rangers and the Outer Banks SPCA for the park's very first Bark Ranger event! Bring your dog with you to enjoy a nice walk on one of Fort Raleigh's two nature trails (or both if you'd like!). Park Rangers will be on site to discuss the park's brand new B.A.R.K Ranger program, provide informal interpretation, and to educate visitors and their four-legged friends on how to safely and respectfully recreate in your National Park.
If you don't have a dog and would like to participate, the Outer Banks SPCA will have adoptable dogs available for you to walk!
Please note, the park anticipates a large number of dogs in attendance. Please follow park policy by keeping your dog on a leash no longer than six feet, do not leave your dog unattended, and please clean up after your pet.
