Parking for Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park is located at the Billings Farm & Museum. If using a GPS, please enter "69 Old River Rd, Woodstock, VT 05091". To enter the National Park, take the paved path to the right of the Billings Farm & Museum Visitor Center, walk up and cross the street, and then take the right fork and walk 1/8 mile to reach the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park Forest Center.

Description

Ever wonder where bats go during the winter? Join us for an in-person workshop to learn about the fascinating winter habits of our local bat species. We will begin this workshop with a presentation from Adam Kozlowski, a NPS biologist with experience monitoring bats, who will share his knowledge of winter bat ecology and physiology and the importance of hibernacula. Following the presentation, we will take a short hike through the Mount Tom Forest and hear from Steve Mortillo, the Natural Resources Program Lead at the park, about how the forest is managed with bats in mind. 

When: Sunday, November 17th, 10:30am-12:30pm. 

Where: Meet at the Forest Center, Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park, Woodstock, VT.
