Participants will meet at the work site along what Google Maps labels as "Taylor Park Road." "Taylor Park Road" heads north along the west bank of Lagunitas Creek 400 feet west of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard's intersection with Platform Bridge Road. Turn north from Sir Francis Drake Boulevard onto "Taylor Park Road' in Tocaloma, CA. The work site is 0.3 miles north along the dirt road. Park near the Pacific Gas & Electricity transformer station.

Description
Come help the National Park Service and the Watershed Stewards Program restore riparian habitat for salmon by planting native oak, willows, and more!
We will be working to protect riparian habitat. Coho salmon, steelhead trout, and Chinook salmon are all residents of nearby Lagunitas Creek. By revegetating stream banks we will be controlling erosion and creating new habitat for these local fish populations.
Tools, gloves, and safety gear will be provided. Light refreshments will be available. This is a rain or shine event, so please dress accordingly.
Please bring a refillable water bottle, lunch, wear closed toed shoes and clothes appropriate for working outdoors (long pants, rain gear, and/or sun protection). No experience is necessary to join in and volunteers of all ages are welcome!

Can't make it on February 25 but still want to help, a second workday will be held on March 10.
The Watershed Stewards Program (WSP) is dedicated to improving watershed health by actively engaging in restoration science, civic service, and community education while empowering the next generation of environmental stewards. A program of the California Conservation Corps, WSP is one of the most productive programs for future employment in the environmental field. WSP is administered by CaliforniaVolunteers, the Office of the Governor and sponsored by AmeriCorps and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
