The Park After Dark (Shark Valley)
Open house event to welcome visitors to the park after dark, 7 - 9 pm at Shark Valley on Saturday, April 10th.
Rangers will partner with IDSA and astronomy group to provide a telescope. Activities will occur around the Shark Valley visitor center, viewing platform, bobcat boardwalk and along the paved tram path. Visitors will be able to take home additional information utilizing a QR code to scan and make this portion paperless. There will be 5 stations to cycle through, to keep visitors dispersed. The Bobcat boardwalk will be briefly illuminated at the east and west end, allowing visitors to self-explore. We remind visitors to bring red tinted lights to reduce night blindness.
Social distancing and other safety/health protocols will be followed and asked.
