Join us for a free-free day as the National Park Service celebrates National Public Lands Day! Celebrated annually, National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest single-day volunteer event. People across the country volunteer to help preserve and conserve public lands, encourage the use of natural and cultural lands in education, and continue a legacy of stewardship.
Each year the National Park Service commemorates certain days by offering free admission to all parks that charge an entrance fee. Take adavantage of this fee-free day and hike a trail, walk or bike the canal towpath, and learn more about the natural and cultural resources at C&O Canal. Please note that additional fees such as camping or permit fees will still apply.
