As with all park events, an entrance pass is required to recreate at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area.Location:
The Visitor Center is located at Highway 299 and Kennedy Memorial Drive on the east side of the park. Oak Bottom Amphitheater is located adjacent to Oak Bottom Marina and the Kayak Shed for ranger-led kayak tours. To get to the amphitheater, head about 10 minutes west on Highway 299 from the Visitor Center. Turn left at Oak Bottom. at the four-way intersection (Oak Bottom Fire Station on your left), turn left and pass the fire station and the RV campground. The Marina/Kayak Programs/Amphitheater parking lot will be at the end of this road.Dates & Times

Come celebrate our 60th anniversary as a national recreation area during this drop-in program outside the Visitor Center and at Oak Bottom Amphitheater.
OUTSIDE THE VISITOR CENTER
* Grab a slice of birthday cake!
* Look at historic postcards of the park.
* See memorabilia from the 1980s Whiskeytown Downhill Mountain Bike Race.
OAK BOTTOM AMPHITHEATER
* View special items from the park's history collections.
* Complete conservation craft activities with Whiskeytown Environmental School Community and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
* Get your 60th Anniversary Edition Park Newspaper including your 6 for 60 Stewardship Challenge worksheet.
* Hear remarks from Park Superintendent Josh Hoines and U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Area Manager Elizabeth Hadley.

RANGER RUBBER DUCK CHALLENGE
Beginning at 12:30pm sharp at Oak Bottom Amphitheater, the race will be on for you to find four park ranger rubber duck! The lucky four visitors to find one of these rubber ducks will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Whiskeytown Visitor Center Bookstore, operated by Western National Parks. This gift certificate is courtesy of Friends of Whiskeytown, Inc.
