Description

Ever dreamed of capturing the Milky Way in all its glory? Now's your chance!

Join Tom Robinson for this hands-on workshop. You'll learn everything you need to know to take stunning photos of the night sky, including:

-The best settings for astrophotography

-Composition and exposure techniques

-Tips & software for post-processing your images

No experience is necessary. All you need to bring is a DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual mode, a sturdy tripod, and a willingness to learn.

Schedule: 

6:30pm Visitor Center reopens.

8:00pm Program begins.

8:30pm Hands-On photography workshop.

Dress warmly. Bring a red flashlight (rangers will help convert regular flashlights). Lawn chairs or blankets.

Night sky merchandise will be available for purchase from Black Hills Parks and Forest Assn. in the Visitor Center.

ASL interpretation available with 2 week notice.
