Description
River Raisin National Battlefield Park will host nature walks this summer among wetland ecologies along the River Raisin Heritage Corridor towards Sterling State Park on Saturday's in September: 7, 14, 21 and 28th from 10am – noon.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to use the restroom and fill up water bottles. Also please bring a reusable water bottle, sun protection, and comfortable walking clothes and shoes. The walk is 3 miles long, approximately.
On this Ranger-led walk, participants will learn about the wildlife of Monroe, MI and human impact on local ecology. Meeting and ending location will be at the River Raisin National Battlefield Park Visitor Center at 1403 E. Elm Ave, Monroe, MI 48162.
