Description

Take part in an ongoing community project that honors the individuals enslaved at Belle Grove. Participants will help stitch names and known birthdates of each person. Names are arranged in family trees when possible. No prior quilting experience is needed, you'll have the opportunity to learn and practice!

The quilts will be displayed in the manor house at Belle Grove. They will serve as a lasting tribute to those enslaved at the plantation from the 1780s to the 1860s.

Belle Grove Plantation is a partner of the National Park Service at Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park
