Description

Join National Park Service Naturalist Jerry Hightower for a campfire, guided hikes, and a beautiful summer evening as the Blackberry Moon rises overhead. Roast marshmallows over an open fire and walk along a forest trail. Learn just a little bit more about some of the wildlife that call the Chattahoochee River home. Discover More about the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area and America’s first National Water Trail. Receive a complimentary Chattahoochee River Naturalist Journal with wildlife lists and paw prints. Enjoy the campfire, the stars, and the nocturnal sights and sounds of the Chattahoochee. The evening’s activities are very casual and informal.

Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking on a forest trail. Dress in layers so that you can adjust to changes in the temperature and activity level. A flashlight might be a good idea.
