Fête Kreyol is presented in partnership with the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park, L’Union Française, and Alliance Française de La Nouvelle-Orléans. This special event features a live Creole jazz concert, a cooking demonstration with tasting, and an interactive Creole conversation table.
Experience the richness of Creole culture with performances by legendary local musicians, traditional cuisine, and engaging cultural exchange — all in the heart of New Orleans.
11:30- 12:30 - Cooking Demonstration with Chef Jay Kazi
12:30 - 1:30 - Jazz à la créole musical showcase with Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes (accordion/vocals), Louis Ford (clarinet/saxophone, Joe Lastie (drums), Ranger Matt Hampsey (guitar), and Ranger Kerry Lewis (bass)
2:00 - 2:45 – Creole Table, language talks and Q&A with Alliance Française
3:00 - 4:15 – L’Union Creole concert featuring Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes (accordion/vocals), Leroy Etienne (drums/vocals), Jeffery Broussard (accordion), and Joseph Richard
